General Practice Careers Focus Group

As part of this, UEA GP Society members have been invited to attend a 45 minute focus group to allow students to share their views regarding general practice. These focus groups will be held on Thursday 21st April with time and location to be announced at a later date.

Bromley-By-Bow Health Centre

UEA GPSoc have received an exciting opportunity to visit The Bromley By Bow Health Centre in London. Bromley by Bow Centre is internationally renowned, innovative community organisation and charity in Tower Hamlets in east London which aims to address just that. It is an exemplary model envied across Europe for its unique social entrepreneurial approach in tackling health issues in one of the most deprived wards in the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in learning about innovative community-based approaches in primary care, and how we might start to apply these concepts practically to benefit whole communities.

The visit will take place on Wednesday 27th April with a variety of activities planned throughout the day (full programme of the detail and more details can be found on the event page at https://www.facebook.com/events/844746312335759/)

The cost of the visit is £7.50 which includes a lunch and plenty of refreshments throughout the day. Attendees are expected to make their own way to London but links to bus and train tickets will be posted on the event page.

This event is open to ANY student/staff so spread the word and don’t miss out on a great experience.

We have a maximum of 30 spaces available so if you are interested please email UEA GPSoc at info@ueagpsociety.org.uk
